twice the fun...

Two special girls are celebrating a birthday today.

Well...we actually started the celebrations a few days ago...
with a family birthday party on the weekend.

These two little 'peas in a pod'
came as a package from heaven nine years ago.

Always together...
and almost always happy about it!

From tea parties...
to barn parties... sharing a bedroom or a scooter...

...they make a great team.

Watching them together...
makes me think we should all have a twin!

It's better to have a partner than go it alone.
Share the work, share the wealth.
And if one falls down, the other helps.

The Message

They each have their own trail to blaze...
but how wonderful to have a companion along the way!

Happy Birthday,
Emme and Spencer!

Wishing you many blessings today...
and in the year that lies ahead.

Lots of love,

  1. Happy 10th Birthday to Emme and Spencer! The rainbow cake is gorgeous! Hope they have a fun day! Having the family party early gives room for a friends party today, doesn't it???

  2. Sisters and twins ..double the fun. I loved seeing all the pictures of them. One thing for sure, they are very loved. They have the best grammy. The cake is so fun too. Rainbows of happiness for them today.

  3. Happy birthday Emme & Spencer!

I love their beautiful rainbow cake!

It has been fun to watch them grow on your blog, Judy. They are indeed lucky to be twin sisters, and to always have a friend and playmate because of it.

  4. Happy Birthday Emme and Spencer! Love your rainbow cake:)
Great photos of these beautiful girls.

  5. Wonderful pictures of 2 special girls! Happy Birthday!

  6. Happy birthday to Emme and Spencer. Sweet cake - you never run out of unique ideas Judy!! Thanks for taking us down memory lane with the twins. Blessings to all of you.

  7. What a double blessing! Happy Birthday to you twins! Wish them 90 more years! That cake looks gorgeous!

  8. So sweet! Blessings on their continued love for each other...

  9. Remember that old ad?....double the pleasure, double the fun!
What a double dose of lovely you have next door!

  10. Cute girls and sweet pictures! I went to school with twins. I saw them this summer when my dad died for the first time in 10 years or so. They are both married, but still inseparable!

  11. Another seems just like yesterday when I heard that they were born.
I can tell that you have really enjoyed these girls whether it's outside at the farm or baking or sewing with them.
    Your cake looks fantastic...
Maybe you need to give some of us some lessons.

  12. What an extra special tribute to these beautiful twin girls. I think you are right when you say you think everyone should have a twin. Watching my young twin grandsons, I agree that they have an unique and fun bond of friendship. The rainbow cake is the perfect addition to the birthday celebration.
