It seems I have been using a lot of ginger recently.
If it's not for the gingersnaps...
...then it's the ginger reindeer cookies that the grands made last week.
We have also enjoyed warm gingerbread cake with lemon sauce and whipped cream a few times.
There is ginger in the 'warm apple spice' beverage...
...and the spice candle that is burning smells somewhat of ginger.
We won't be having any motion sickness, dizziness or nausea around here...
ginger combats all of those symptoms and more.
Ginger...it's all good!
Especially at this time of the year.
Those reindeer are so very cute. I was thinking of making them myself this year. This is baking weekend - I have much to do.
ReplyDeleteIt must smell delightful at your place. Your gingersnaps looks so good. I found myself wanting to take a bite.
ReplyDeleteMy day will be spent baking cookies and working on Christmas cards.
We should perhaps invent ginger bracelets and necklases. .but boy..threading those little peppernuts to wear about the neck could be gruelling.
ReplyDeleteThose reindeer are so cute. .did you but them out or just form a triangle roll?
Lovella...the cookie dough is rolled into about a 6" circles which are each cut into 6 wedges. Each wedge forms a reindeer (we rounded off the corners a wee bit). You can use sugar cookie dough, chocolate cookie dough or gingerbread.
ReplyDeleteLuuuuuv ginger...I put ginger in my lentil soup last night...but it didn't look as cute as your reindeer! I like Lovella's idea of the peppernut necklace (instead of a candy necklace) My dremel could easily drill holes into the peppernuts! I'm on it!
ReplyDeleteThe girls and spouses are coming up this weekend (unless we go down for the baby's birth) and gingerbread with lemon sauce is on the menu. Such a wonderful dessert!
ReplyDeletemmm I want to come to your house!
ReplyDeleteOh I just love those reindeer cookies. They make me smile! I'm afraid to make cookies yet...I'll eat them all LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's all wrapped up in ginger...Your cookies looked so cute...I love the reindeer heads...helps me make my decision for this afternoon. Thanks for the instructions...and guess what, I found my circles in Van...a whole box of them, many various sizes.
ReplyDeleteI just asked my little man if he would like to make reindeer cookies....he was sold immediately and then he said, scroll up to the top...can I have a ginger snap cookie? From the hearts of a babe.
ReplyDeleteI'm using ginger citrus lotion..enjoying ginger kitten...and wondering why people don't name their baby girls Ginger any more? It is such a cute name.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell and taste of ginger --everything you made looks very delicious, Judy!
ReplyDeleteOh the kids must have had fun making the reindeer!
ReplyDeleteMy family is not crazy about ginger, but the cake looks delicious! I didn't now about the "medicinal"qualities of ginger.....interesting!
ReplyDeleteLooks VERY yummy!!! Reindeer are very cute!
ReplyDeleteI love and approve of myself
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all that I do. I am good enough just as I am. I speak up for myself. I ask for what I want. I claim my power.

Those all look so yummy!
ReplyDeleteI want to sit down to your pretty table with a cup of coffee and that amazingly good looking gingerbread cake. I can almost smell the ginger in the air. I know we would have fun sharing grandparenting stories. A fun break in my busy morning...thank you!
ReplyDeleteMmmm those ginger snaps look amazing. I am getting ready to start some Christmas baking and I will have to go to my favorite recipe blog site =)
ReplyDeleteHow is that booking coming by the way?
