Tip-toeing through the tulips.
We wish!
That was the plan...
to visit the 'tulips of the valley' today...
their opening day for 2012.
However, I think we'll wait until next week...
since it sounds like the fields are not quite in their glory just yet.
So I'll show you a few photos from 'yesteryear'...
ones that I think would make great note card pictures.
Vee is hosting a note card party today...
over at A Haven for Vee.
I'm joining in the fun this month.
over at A Haven for Vee.
I'm joining in the fun this month.
Maggie and Lucy (along with their mommy) are coming over today...
and staying for a sleepover while daddy is out of town.
Though we won't be tip-toeing through tulip fields as we had planned...
we will find some other fun things to do.
Maybe in the kitchen. :)
I remember these beautiful photo's from before and am looking forward to this years too!
ReplyDeleteGoing to the Northwest to see the tulip fields is on my list of things to do! I love tulips and can't imagine what glory seeing fields of them must be like. As you can tell, I LOVE your photos and your selection for Vee's party!
ReplyDeleteOh, what gorgeous pictures - like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteTruly, the pictures of those fields filled with tulips takes the breath away. We simply see nothing like it in my corner to even compare it with...an apple orchard? No. Good thing you always have a Plan B, Judy! Have fun with your gals and bake something delish. Ohhh, a suggestion for a future Note Card Party. So glad that you joined in. It's a lot of fun and you get to meet such great bloggers.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!! Wow, to see that in person must be impressive. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful and would make beautiful notecards, enjoy your company.Thank you for sharing.

Can't wait to see the photos of this year when you go. It was indeed a gloriously sunshiney week when I was on the mainland....rain this week. Refreshing and I am sure the sun will peek out again soon to show off those wonderful blossoms.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to wander in these fields and pick a big bouquet!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos for note cards.
Can the mommy find a bed to take a nap in? Little Lucy has been keeping me up...so tired...
ReplyDeleteYour annual tulip outing photos are ones I look forward to seeing every year, Judy! They rival nay taken in Holland. These photos would make the prettiest note cards of all!
ReplyDeleteGood idea to wait. The fields down here were not quite in all their glory last Sunday. This weekend should be good.
ReplyDeleteWow...wouldn't that be fun to tip-toe through the tulips..now that song is running through my head
ReplyDeleteGreat Note Card pics...stopping by from Vee's party
I am in awe of every one of your photos
ReplyDeleteI know I would love to tip-toe through these gorgeous tulips. But, the next best thing is viewing your stunning photos. They would make really nice note cards.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness....that is absolutely gorgeous...Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteYou've got me humming that crazy song!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with Maggie and Lucy!
This notecard set is wonderful and I would love to see those tulip fields one day. My daughter brought me a watercolour print from the Mount Vernon area a few years ago. Do hope you'll be visiting the tulip fields soon.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to sign up for Vee's card photos. I remember seeing them when you visited last year and I could not get over the beauty and color of it all.
ReplyDeleteHope you, Maggie, and Lucy share your time in the kitchen. What fun!
I would love to see those field of tulips one of these days. The closest I've ever come to something like this (on a much smaller scale) was the tulip gardens at Biltmore House in NC.
ReplyDeleteI love the tulips feels, and so much closer than driving down to LaConner to see them there.
ReplyDeleteGreat new title picture :)
Judy...
ReplyDeleteI tried your recipe for Honey Garlic Ribs from off the Mennonite Girls Can Cook site!! Absolutely fabulous:) We enjoyed them so much - the only change I made was to do them in the slow cooker for about 5-6 hours instead of the oven and they were so good!!! xo Marlies
Oh the tulips remind me of our outing a few years ago...I wish they would stay just a little bit longer, but it looks like your house was lit up with real fresh grand kids ready to play.
