looking for snow in palm springs....

Today we our departing from our usual Palm Springs routine....

...the one that includes floating down the lazy river and reading a good part of the day!

Do you see all that snow up on the peaks?
We are heading down the highway today...
and up that very mountain...
to see what we can see.

The Palm Springs Tram to the top of Mt. San Jacinta is
Palm Springs most popular tourist attraction.

We thought it was high time we checked it out!
Today is the day.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. That's an unusual sight to see...Palm trees and snowy mountain peaks in the same shot. So you just couldn't take all the warmth, eh? Ha! Beautiful photo of the two of you drifting down Lazy River together. Course you're two of the least lazy folks I know.

  2. For a minute I thought Vee said you two are the laziest folks she knows. .ha ha!
I enjoyed that lazy river scene. ..kind of gives me a notion to pack my bags again.
Enjoy your mountain climb ..can't wait to see the photos.

  3. Enjoy!
It's beautiful up there...and very cold! As always I so enjoy your photography!

    Safe travels...

  4. You guys look great relaxing down that lazy river!! Have fun on the tram!

  5. How unusual, seeing palm trees and snow peaks at the same time. Can't wait to see your pictures, although floating and reading sure does sound good to me today.

  6. Amazing to see the palm trees and snowy peaks at the same time!

  7. That wouldn't be a bad routine at all, but you sure must have good sunscreen! You both look very good and not too brown. I'm glad to see that. Having had malignant melanoma, I never keep quiet about sunscreen but I can see I'm preaching to the choir here.

  8. I guess by now you've been to the top of the mountain so I'm eager to hear what all you saw up there.
I must say that lazy river looks mighty inviting.

  9. I don't know if I'd leave that lazy river for snow. But exploring is fun, too. Hope you're having a wonderful day (and staying warm).

  10. Glad you two are having such a good time. Soak up all the sunshine you can!

  11. Oh, I love that tram ride up to the top! And the view from up there is so amazing. But I've never been when there is snow. Have fun...I hope you took your camera!

  12. Good for you!! I am looking forward to the next post!! Hopefully you will have pics and everything for those of us stuck far away and still wanting to see the sights!

  13. Ummm, isn't the whole point of being a snowbird avoiding the snow? You must really miss home! LOL.
I'd stick to the lazy river!
