Easter 2012 ~ the condensed version

It was a beautiful Easter morning sunrise...

...that I was actually up to witness!

As the sun came up over Mt. Cheam...
the moon was making an exit in western sky.

We made it to the early service on Easter Sunday.
It was the best place to be!

And after...
we gathered around the table as a family.
And we ate the same meal we eat every year at Easter...
ending with paska, of course!

The Easter bunnies hid the eggs....
here, there and everywhere!

The grands were let loose to go on their hunt!

They divided up the spoils.
The sun shone.
A good time was had by all!

It was a good day!

And tomorrow...
I'll likely give you the expanded version.

  1. I like your condensed version. It looks like a good time. I love how you can manage to get a eating photo. I somehow...don't get that one accomplished.

Wasn't it just the most beautiful day? How perfect. We will have to remember the year of 2012 when the sun was shining on Easter.

  2. Yes, it was a perfect day...in many ways...I'm not sure what you call condensed version...
The sun shone, and memories were made of the same food, the same Easter hunt, the same warm wonderful day filled with memories from before.

I enjoyed looking at your table, and wondered 'where is Judy sitting?' but then saw the plate next to your Elmer. What a wonderful day!

  11. I enjoyed both versions of your day. What fun to see all of your grands sharing in all that you and your sister created for them. The sunrise picture was exceptionally beautiful and I am sure it must have given you the best anticipation for the Easter sunrise service.

The big bubble blowers in the Easter egg hunt were so cool. No wonder they were the hit of the day. Loved seeing all their smiles and the green grass with the mountains behind it.
