blessings and rainbows...

I have set my rainbow in the clouds,
and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
Genesis 9:13 NIV

Rainbows arrive on the wings of a storm...and are a reminder of God's faithfulness.
At times we are too pre-occupied to see them .

Blessings often come on the darkest of days as well...let's not miss them!

Have a blessed Sunday...

  2. oh...so hard to push aside the darkness sometimes I think Judy...but you are right. The light only shines so much brighter when it is shone in the dark.

  5. It is good to know another person who can't resist taking pictures of rainbows. How could anyone not take a picture since they are so very meaningful.

One secret treasure about rainbows that I learned awhile back from my Messianic Jewish friends:
The middle color in a rainbow is always green. The color of the bow around the throne of God is an Emerald Rainbow (see Revelations), and the stone representing the tribe of Judah (on the Hebrew Priests that entered the temple) was emerald. Jesus was called "the Lion of Judah"...Judah was his tribe.

Occasionally you will see a single bow above a double bow: it is always Purple... the color assigned to designate royalty. Doesn't that just make perfect sense that the ultimate royalty is the One over all promises represented by the rainbow?

Your red trees in your banner: WOW!

  6. Beautiful. I was wondering if you happened to catch this rainbow on Tuesday. When my daughter and I were driving back from Vancouver to the border we spotted a rainbow like this one :0)
