a new title...

We are seeing pink around here these days...
and it's all good!

As of yesterday I have a new title...that of great-aunt.
It sounds good to me!

And my sister is a grandma for the very first time.

And my niece, a Mommy.
How did that happen so quickly?

It seems not long ago that I was out shopping for a wee outfit for my niece
...and she wore it in this photo when she was 18 months old.

Now I'm ready to go shopping...
for an outfit for my new grand-niece.

And once we have met properly...
I'm sure I will introduce her to you all.

Congratulations Lauren and Chad...
and your sweet baby girl!

Children are a gift from God... Psalm127:3

  1. How lovely! Congratulations on the newest arrival.
Great aunt is not a pretty title somehow, sounds rather Victorian and prim, not like you!

  2. I've never understood that whole concept of being a "great" anything, though I am quite certain that you will be a great great-aunt. (Sorry for muddying the waters there.) Congrats to the entire family! Your niece was/is a little cutie-pie and your sister must be very excited to be a grandmother.

  3. Congratulations on being a grand aunt again and to the whole family for welcoming a brand new baby! Blessings to all and welcome to the world for the little one!

Cute little outfit - have fun purchasing another!

  4. Congratulations on your newest family member! Isn't it the coolest thing to watch our kids (and nieces and nephews) become parents?

  5. Grand indeed! It's always so much fun picking out little girl gifts....all those pretties to pick from.

  6. Baby girls - what gifts your family is getting! A new title to add to the ones you already hold - well, that's good, although the title Great Aunt made me stand straighter when it was conferred!.....there's just something about it!

  7. Congratulations to Lauren and Chad and to you now bearing the title of great aunt.

  8. I always joke about that title telling my nieces how great I am. Congratulations to your sister on becoming a grandmother and to your niece and nephew in law!! Fun times...

  9. Congrats again! It's a pink parade out your way!!! I got a great-niece last week too!

  10. Hi Judy - congratulations to you. I was thinking of the June arrival when I clicked on a great girl's crocheted hat pattern this morning and then noticed you have another pink surprise. I've printed it out because it's just so cute. You might like to make it.

  11. I look forward to meeting your new treasure. I am great Aunt to two lovely great nieces and it just keeps everything moving in a tide of continuing relationship. There is no time to mourn the loss of youth when these new people to love keep dropping into our lives!

  12. Children indeed are a gift from God. Rejoicing on the safe arrival of a new family member.

  13. What an adorable outfit your little niece is wearing! I hope she still has it for HER little girl!
It is amazing how quickly the little ones grow up and start the next generation.
A happy CONGRATULATIONS! to you, Great-aunt Judy !

  14. Congratulations, Great-Aunt! Now that's a new title to live up to.

I love your new header - so fresh and spring-like!

  15. Congratulations to your niece and nephew and your whole family!

I'm honored to be a great aunt to eleven, with another on the way in June. Family gatherings are always fun!

  16. Congratulations to all of you on this sweet new addition to your family. Hope we get to meet her.

  17. Can't wait to meet her! What a blessing to you all!

  18. Hurrah for an increase of your tribe! Blessing to the whole family, can't wait to see the dear little lass.

  19. Popped over from Judy's.... I was interested to find out you're a fellow Canadian. I live in Alberta, but I have relatives in Chilliwack, so it's been often a holiday destination.

Wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places.

  20. What a cute photo of Lauren. It is very exciting and I know Kathryn can't wait to get over there and be a part of all the celebrations.
