homespun...

Before the rains arrived to wash it all away...

...we had a gallery of woven threads to enjoy out here.

In the morning fog...

...every spider's work became a masterpiece.

I was about to mow the lawn...
and decided to document the webbing before destroying it.

I'm not that fond of spiders...
but they do a lovely work.

If only they would stay on the shrubs...
and the greens...
and away from 'my front porch'.

  3. Well done - spider webs can be so difficult to photograph. I love the webs outside - not so much when they are in the house!

  4. Who would of thought that these little creatures would receive such tribute this morning.
I can hear my little one say, "I don't like Piders"

  5. The weavings really are exquisite. You have captured them so very well.

You have to mow, too? Hmmm... That's my next job.

Yes, I thought of the coming birthday in your family. You'll be very disappointed to read my inspiration or lack thereof this year.

  7. These are fantastic...I snapped a few dewy webs while sitting in a traffic jam a few weeks back but nothing as beautiful as these.

  11. Is it just me or are there a LOT of spiders (and webs) this year?
    Beautiful pictures!

  12. We also took photos of spiderwebs this week - on the fence next to our driveway. I am always awed by the strength of those webs and by how far the spider can throw his thread. One more of God's amazing creatures!

  13. Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving and the family photo is great. Your table looked very festive. Spider webs are amazing and beautiful, except when you don't see them and walk through them! :-) The pictures are really pretty!

  14. You found the perfect time to take photos! Isn't it amazing how those spiders can spin? Beautiful with the morning dew on them. But I agree... stay away from my porch.

  15. Wow! I don't think I've ever seen this much evidence in one spot of spiders busyness. Very cool with the sun shining on the webs...

  18. I'm envious of such beautiful photos! And admire your dedication - you must have really had to get down low to capture those webs on the grass. Thank you.
