Before the rains arrived to wash it all away...
...we had a gallery of woven threads to enjoy out here.
In the morning fog...
...every spider's work became a masterpiece.
I was about to mow the lawn...
and decided to document the webbing before destroying it.
I'm not that fond of spiders...
but they do a lovely work.
If only they would stay on the shrubs...
and the greens...
and away from 'my front porch'.
These are so beautiful. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThose are awesome photographs!
ReplyDeleteThe webs are beautiful, but I agree..stay off my porch!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at the hedge in perfect lighting the other day and it was magnificent. .I went to get my camera. .and clearly got sidetracked because I never did get that photo. Beautiful pictures Judy.
ReplyDeleteWell done - spider webs can be so difficult to photograph. I love the webs outside - not so much when they are in the house!
ReplyDeleteWho would of thought that these little creatures would receive such tribute this morning.
ReplyDeleteI can hear my little one say, "I don't like Piders"
The weavings really are exquisite. You have captured them so very well.
ReplyDeleteYou have to mow, too? Hmmm... That's my next job.
Yes, I thought of the coming birthday in your family. You'll be very disappointed to read my inspiration or lack thereof this year.
This is the second post I've seen today featuring the magical, marvelous work of some very artistic spiders! You got some amazing shots, even a carpet of sparkling webs down on the grass!
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic...I snapped a few dewy webs while sitting in a traffic jam a few weeks back but nothing as beautiful as these.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever do professional photography? You sure do know how to capture unique beauty and I am always thankful that you do. Who would have ever thought that spider webs could make an interesting post!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures!! They are beautiful....even if I don't like spiders either! They are Artists!
ReplyDeleteYou've caught the magic of spider webs beautifully. But I agree with you - not on my front porch! Or in my basement!
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or are there a LOT of spiders (and webs) this year?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
We also took photos of spiderwebs this week - on the fence next to our driveway. I am always awed by the strength of those webs and by how far the spider can throw his thread. One more of God's amazing creatures!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving and the family photo is great. Your table looked very festive. Spider webs are amazing and beautiful, except when you don't see them and walk through them! :-) The pictures are really pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou found the perfect time to take photos! Isn't it amazing how those spiders can spin? Beautiful with the morning dew on them. But I agree... stay away from my porch.
ReplyDeleteWow! I don't think I've ever seen this much evidence in one spot of spiders busyness. Very cool with the sun shining on the webs...
ReplyDeleteHey, people spend lots of money on that fake webbing stuff for Halloween and you got it for free...now that's a good mennonite! Good to see you having fun with your camera too!
ReplyDeleteWow! So many spider webs! I'm glad you captured all their efforts in photos before the rains ( and lawn mower)came!
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of such beautiful photos! And admire your dedication - you must have really had to get down low to capture those webs on the grass. Thank you.
