the river walk...

One of my favorite places to walk is along the Vedder River trail...a beautiful trail that runs along the river and is about 7 km long.

One of my favorite people to walk with is my daughter...

...and on Saturday we did just that! It was neither too cold...nor too wet...nor too windy...it was a 'no excuse' weekend for getting outdoors and enjoying creation.

Ellie-Mae (Heidi & Tim's dog) also couldn't think of a thing she'd sooner be doing on a Saturday afternoon.

There were guys standing in the water all along the trail...and waiting patiently for the fish (they call that a sport?). I'd sooner be walking!

We passed joggers, dog walkers and horse riders...

...and even enjoyed open air concert along the river as we passed by.

We walked for miles...the scenery was fantastic & we never run out of things to talk about.

By the time we got back to the parking lot...the afternoon was about over.

Let's do it again soon!

  2. Jan is right...I do feel refreshed, cyberly (that's a word, right?) speaking. :>

Such a splendid walk when you can enjoy ALL of God's creation — the mountains, the trees, the sky, and the animals, and the people.

Your dd has the longest legs! I'd have to run to keep up with her. Is that why you're lagging behind? (insert grin)

  6. Great minds think alike.
I walked the Vedder trail with my Suzanne and Drift also around 1:00pm.
I'll share my pictures another day.
It's such a beautiful walk at all times of the year.
