something to crow about...

We had a little rain last week...but for the most part...things are quite dry out here on the west coast. Our fields...and lawns...are all getting thirsty...and so we have the sprinklers going on occasion. The crows have it all figured out...

...sooner or later there will be water coming from this shower head...and they will have fun playing in the sprinkler. I didn't know crows had that much patience...but they have been spending a lot of time waiting...patiently.

As for me...I am off on an adventure today...and will see if I have something to crow about tomorrow. Maybe not!

Have a wonderful day...

  1. I like whatever it is that you crow about. I will be waiting...just like the crows are.

  4. Crows are extremely smart birds...I've seen them grab a pecan and fly high up in the air and drop it on pavement to break it...I love me some crows!! Great picture!

  5. You are such a cheerful person that I know you'll have something to crow about. Your crows are quite innovative! Nan said this morning with great excitement, "Oh look!" then dwindling enthusiasm as recognition dawned..."a crow." Ha!

  6. Only you could think up such a clever post about crows. I look forward to hearing what you will have to crow about tomorrow.

I just hope the crows don't eat those lovely cherries in your header picture. Every time I visit I want to pluck one and eat it myself :-)

  7. I haven't seen as many crows around here this summer as usual...and I miss them. They can be quite funny to watch.

I can't wait to see what happens here tomorrow, Judy!

  8. I think the ones on the ground are waiting their turn on the tall metal thingy. LOL Perhaps they even paid for their turn at that view. :)

  9. Pesky things. I guess there's no harm in them sitting on the sprinkler head, it's when they go for the trash bags sitting on the curb that I wish something could shoot up to get rid of them.

  11. What...you don't want to stay home and play in the sprinklers with the crows???? what could possibly be better than that!

  12. I spent the day trying to find some rock to make an inukshuk. Would that be disrespectful since that is not my tradition?
