This one comes to you from Homestead, Florida...
where we have been hanging out the past few days.
Homestead lies in an agricultural area south of Miami...
right next to Everglades National Park.
We did a little exploring...
and read books on a chaise lounge next to the very healthy split-leaf philodendron.
We also had supper with some friends from back home who spend the winter down here.
It was the perfect way to end to our Gulf Coast road trip.
Today we are leaving the rental car in Orlando...
and winging our way back home.
Popped in to see what deligts you had for me...ah Homestead! Haven't been to Florida since we left Tampa some years back...glad you are enjoying your trip!

So soon?! What fun it must be to connect with your snowbird friends. I'm assuming that they'll be winging their way home soon as well. A good flight to you!
ReplyDeleteGod speed!
ReplyDeleteThat is the healthiest philodendron I have ever seen. I have loved your postcards. I know the travel day is a bit less exciting this direction but it is always fun to anticipate the welcome home.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
And I know that know you are ready to come home again...and the sun is shining today, so I'm out for a walk.
ReplyDeleteWill be waiting for you to arrive safe and sound.
Heading home... do you have mixed feelings of joy and sadness? I was sad our trip was over so quick.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice way to wrap up your trip. I was trying to think why Homestead sounded familiar to me and then I remembered that my husband had worked there once in the nuclear power plant. I think sitting near that fabulous philodenderon and the pool sounds like more fun :).
ReplyDeleteWishing you safe travels on your return home.
It sounds like you had a wonderful trip, Judy! I returned home this evening from Colorado where I was for five days to see my grandsons and celebrate the youngest one's first birthday!
ReplyDeleteSafe trip home!~
I visited in Homestead many years ago. My uncle used to live there. Looks like you stayed in a beautiful place. Hope you have a safe trip home.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip Judy! No matter where travel takes us there's no place like home!
ReplyDeleteSafe journey home, to where today was sunny and balmy - just beautiful! I hope it stays this way to welcome you!
ReplyDeleteSo sad that you have to come home so soon!
