one last postcard...

This one comes to you from Homestead, Florida...
where we have been hanging out the past few days.
Homestead lies in an agricultural area south of Miami...
right next to Everglades National Park.

We did a little exploring...
and read books on a chaise lounge next to the very healthy split-leaf philodendron.
We also had supper with some friends from back home who spend the winter down here.
It was the perfect way to end to our Gulf Coast road trip.
Today we are leaving the rental car in Orlando...
and winging our way back home.

  2. So soon?! What fun it must be to connect with your snowbird friends. I'm assuming that they'll be winging their way home soon as well. A good flight to you!

  3. That is the healthiest philodendron I have ever seen. I have loved your postcards. I know the travel day is a bit less exciting this direction but it is always fun to anticipate the welcome home.
    Safe travels!

Will be waiting for you to arrive safe and sound.

  5. Heading home... do you have mixed feelings of joy and sadness? I was sad our trip was over so quick.

  6. Sounds like a nice way to wrap up your trip. I was trying to think why Homestead sounded familiar to me and then I remembered that my husband had worked there once in the nuclear power plant. I think sitting near that fabulous philodenderon and the pool sounds like more fun :).
Wishing you safe travels on your return home.

  7. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip, Judy! I returned home this evening from Colorado where I was for five days to see my grandsons and celebrate the youngest one's first birthday!

    Safe trip home!~
