cooked to perfection...

Someone in our neighbourhood was celebrating a milestone over the weekend...
and her family decided to go 'whole hog' and throw a big party.

The tents and heaters arrived...
the tables and chairs...
and even the hog and the BBQ were delivered.

Then came the friends, family and neighbours...of all droves.

It seems that pigs are easier to move from the grill to the table...than from the pen to pen.

Though there may be many ways to carve a pig...he did it like a pro!.

We had a feast...and a good time...and Sue had a birthday she won't forget anytime soon!

If you happen to live in this part of the world...
and a hosting a pork bbq sounds like a fun idea to you...
contact our neighbourhood bbq guy at Whole Hog BBQ
and he'll be happy to deliver.

Happy Monday...

  1. John just went to a pig roast given by his daughter. He had a great time. (Naturally, I couldn't hoo.)

  2. I thought it took hours to bbq a hog. How long did it take? Looks like a great party.

  3. Mmmmm, looks so good!! We did a whole hog for our daughter and son-in-law's reception - so much fun!!

  4. :0) How great is that. The pork that we barbecued this weekend was a tad smaller then that LOL!

  5. We BBQ'ed a pig for church...on a fire pit...very tasty. We might have to try on the grill next time.

  6. Sounds like a lot of fun - have never had one of those whole hogs!

  7. This looks like fun, Judy! I've always wanted to go to s pig roast.

I'm still on vacation and having a wonderful time. So far it's been cool and sunny .. just the way I like it!

So glad to see you had fun in Colorado but disappointed your view from Pike's peak was a cloudy one!

  8. That looks delicious. What a fun idea for a birthday party.

  9. This is something that TGD has always wanted to do. It sounds like fun - and I like the idea of someone coming in with all the equipment and then taking it away again afterwards.

  10. Yum!! What great fun, that's the way to go, have it all delivered!!

  11. I remember pig roasts from the years at our girl's school and I can almost taste how good each bite was. A fun way to celebrate you friend's birthday.

  12. We've also enjoyed a few of those roasted pork loins...It's fun to make those milestone parties memorable. We only have one chance to celebrate, today!
