grace like rain....

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Ephesians 2:8

Grace...the amazing gift of God, that He gives us like He gives us the rain. Sometimes the rain is overwhelming...more than we need...no end in sight! And that is how He blesses us...He gives us more than we need, physically and spiritually. At times, He opens the floodgates and pours out His love and grace.

The photo above was taken on my hike last Sunday morning...the rain fell down on us, and we were enveloped in a cloud of grey. I thought I might try the same hike this morning...and maybe there would be a view today...but the skies are still rather grey. So instead I will sing...

Halleleujah, grace like rain falls down on me...
Halleleujah all my sins are washed away..
Are washed away!

Grace Like Rain by Todd Agnew is a beautiful version of Amazing Grace...and a wonderful reminder of God's amazing grace ...especially in the rain!

  6. The misty forest looks so cool and refreshing; I can almost smell the moist scent of the leaves and hear the musical sound of small drops of water pattering down through the leaves to the ground.

A wonderful post about God's grace to us. Thank you!

  8. Beautiful photo! I love walks like that, you feel so surrounded. My favorite time to go for a walk or a run out here is when it's raining, since no one in Australia ever does anything in any sort of rain, I am all alone on the beach. It's so nice to get lost in my own thoughts.
