peace...

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Let's not allow the beauty of the advent season to be lost in the bustle of activity that we find ourselves in. My prayer is that I will pay attention to what really matters and not worry about the rest...that I will be aware of God's presence in my life and know His peace...that I will have joy and a sense of humour...and that I will be the 'hands and feet' of Jesus to those around me during this advent season.

  1. A beautiful prayer, anf one that I hope I can keep with me in the days ahead. It's too easy to get caught up in the 'hype'and to forget what's really important.

  2. Those are a couple of my favorite Bible verses. Your post is the second time I've read them today. :-)

  3. Peace...real, true peace is one of the most treasured of my gifts in my daily life. The verses, the picture, and the admonition are so appreciated on this Sunday evening. I appreciate you and I appreciate each one of my visits to your blog.

  4. Thanks for the blessing Judy. I'm almost done decorating the house, (except the tree...we'll do that for our anniversary Dec. 18th) and I am looking forward to being for more reflection and service. By the way, I emailed you...check your junk file to see if it got trapped.
